We’ve been working across the North West for over 40 years. Over that time, the communities around us, and the people in them, have become part of what Clan is. We invest our time, our people, and our resources in the organisations and causes that matter to us — from charity partnerships and employment programmes to grassroots sport and heritage skills training.
Community
Community Support
Direct, hands-on help to local families and charity partners across the region throughout the year — from food clubs to festive hamper drives and fundraising events.
-
Every December, our office becomes a collection hub. We pack and deliver Christmas hampers to different organisations each year, including Widnes Foodbank and Nightstop Communities NW.
-
Jen Gavin, Aaron Hancock, and Wayne McIntyre volunteer regularly at The Bread and Butter Thing food clubs, run locally by The Social Brokers. The team has also served over 100 meals at Mustard Tree in Ancoats.
-
We support Wooden Spoon, a charity that reached over 113,000 young people across the UK last year, attending their annual fundraising dinner at Anfield.
-
In 2025, we backed Alex Rigby’s challenge to run to all 69 Merseyrail stations in 24 hours for Centre 56. The campaign raised £38,700. We are back as headline sponsors in 2026.
Employment
Skills & Employment
We work with organisations that open real doors for people who’ve faced barriers to work, bringing them directly into our projects and into the industry.
-
A long-term partnership with a coalition spanning the DWP, Merseyside Police, and Liverpool City Council, creating direct employment pathways into structural repair and conservation.
-
At Cannington Shaw in St Helens, we worked alongside the Heritage Skills Academy to give apprentices hands-on experience on an active Scheduled Monument. Real site. Real skills.
-
Colin McEllin and Aaron Hancock led built environment students on a heritage walking tour of Liverpool’s waterfront, covering original construction methods and the specialist repair work that keeps iconic buildings standing.
Card 03 — Sport
Sport & Youth
When young people need a hand, the answer is almost always yes. From grassroots football kits to international Scout expeditions, we back the next generation.
-
Kit sponsor since the U13 days. They were crowned league champions in 2025. We were as proud as if we’d played a single minute.
-
Training and away kit sponsor for two seasons, handed over by Jen Gavin to a squad already on a winning streak.
-
Match-funded a canyoning trip to Switzerland for 37 young people. When a large site tent from the Hammerstone Road Depot project was no longer needed, we donated it directly to Tawd Vale Adventure Centre.
-
Two consecutive years raising funds for the FireFit Youth Hub. We came 12th out of 24. We’re already plotting our return.
